car free days on Main street were a blast, we got to show off our wares, talk to lots of nice people, and have nice brave folks take our cargo beasts for test rides.

Good event, good people, good vibes.

Don’t you wish YOUR street was closed off to traffic….at least from time to time?

First week of June was Bike To Work Week.

I think it was quite successful, and T-A together with Cap’s was involved in setting up commuter stations in our neighborhood.

What’s a recipe  for a commuter station?

1.willing participant

2.some tools, drinks and snacks for commuters

3.A Bullitt to carry it all!!

Bullitts

Damn those are sexy beasts! The bikes aren't bad either

As perfect as ketchup and mustard, 2 new delicious Larry Vs Harry Bullitts are set to grace the West Coast!

‘Chuck’ (the yellow one) will soon be seen making deliveries in New Westminster while ‘Red’ (yes, the red one) will be massaged and fed nothing but grass and beer until it finds a good home. If YOU think you have a suitable home, let us know!

Oh and if you’d like to witness the miracle of Bullitt birth, check out our photos of that wonderful day!

Transportation-Alternative.ca will be present full fleet at this year’s Velopalooza Cargo bike ride.

The event takes place on Saturday, June 5th, 1PM

Weather you have a cargo bike, xtracycle kit, a trailer, a wicker basket on the handlebars, or a backpack on your back, come one, come all!

It’s going to be an awesome ride, lots of interesting rides to see, lots of wacky, one-off builds.

Weather you’re interested what’s out there, or want to compare available options, this is the place to be.

If you wander ‘what the hell is that thing? ‘ while a front loader(Long John, Bullitt) or a long tail(Xtracycle, Mundo, Ute) zipped past you loaded with kids or groceries or both, this will be the place to get all the answers.

Every year the rides get bigger and better.

Be part of the momentum!

p.s. Bullitt and trike test rides can be arranged.

We’re proud to announce that all of the ponies in our humble stable will be available for viewings and test rides at The Original Cap’s in Sapperton, New Westminster

434 E.Columbia st, just 5 min walk from Sapperton Skytrain station.

It is a great honor to to have our products recognized and respected enough

to be invited in by the oldest shop in the Lower Mainland.

Cap’s, established in 1932 has a long standing tradition of excellence both in their product choices as well as their customer service.

We’re thrilled to be a part of such an outstanding tradition.

At the moment we have 2 bicycles on display.

A 3wheeler with fronl load area (black)

A Bullitt with 7spd SRAM internal gearing, coaster brake back and hydraulic brake front.

More bikes will be coming soon.

Stop by and take one for a spin!

It is counterproductive to tax the cleanest, greenest, healthiest mode of personal transport.

Let’s make sure we let our politicians know they have to rethink.

We strongly believe with enough support they will understand that adding another tax on bicycle sales

is not the best way to go.

See you there!

Dutch Bikes

Holland’s national railway planned to send 400 Dutch bikes to the Holland Heineken House. I heard a rumor that import duties on the bikes forced the Dutch to buy most of their bikes here. Regardless, there was a massive ride around Richmond before the Olympics which was well documented HERE.
